Dr. Amy Divaraniya is the CEO and Founder of Oova, a tech-led women’s health biz that measures multiple hormones through urine samples and provides personalized results and insights on a woman’s fertility. She may be whip-smart and have the PhD to prove it, but Amy comes to entrepreneurship from a heavy science background and had to learn the biz ropes just like the rest of us. In this ep she shares how she built up her business acumen, her launch strategy (it doesn’t involve DTC or an ecommerce site), how she invented a medical product with a team of two, the challenges and joys of pivoting from science to startup life, and her own personal fertility story that led her to starting Oova.
