Jordan Rondel started out baking and decorating beautiful cakes in Auckland, New Zealand. Now, she lives in LA selling cool-as-hell DIY cake kits through her online store and national retailers alongside her sister (and business partner).
Jordan’s growing her business through collaborations with influencers and likeminded brands, and breaks down the different ways she structures her partnerships in this ep.
She’s also heavily focused on ~aesthetics~ and ~content~, and shares her thoughts on why her business isn’t a food biz, it’s a media business. The Caker certainly stands out in a category filled with Betty Crocker wannabes, and it’s because Jordan didn’t look to the food category when dreaming up her brand identity — she connected disparate fields like fashion and beauty to bring something all-new to life.
